Futsal
Some of our Year 5 & 6’s attended a new School Games offering in futsal. Playing on a hard indoor surface with a low-bounce ball, the team used their dribbling and passing skills to move up the pitch and score goals 💪The team did amazingly well, and it was great to see their confidence and performance improve with every match they played. Thank you to RB Coaching for hosting the event

Catholic Rally
A big well done to some of our KS2 girls’ footballers who attended the annual Catholic Girls Rally. The girls played amazingly well, winning all three group-stage games to progress to the semi-finals, where they were narrowly defeated. However, they achieved an excellent 3rd-place finish by winning their 3rd/4th place play-off! ⭐️🥉👏 One game to go for the girls, which could secure them the East League title!

It is lovely to hear about our children’s achievements outside of school! Samuel in Year 6 has been shining at Cubs. He has been awarded ‘Cub of the Year’ and has also won the silver award, which is the highest accolade for a cub – well done Samuel!

I’ve been absolutely amazed by the incredible poems written by Amelia and Benedict in Year 6. The children have written the most beautiful poems for a competition called ‘I have a Dream’. I will try and include the poems in next week’s newsletter for you to read as I’m sure you will be as impressed as I was – what superstars!

Meet our Year 6 Reading Buddies, who have been given the very important job of listening to some of our Year 1 children read each day. This is such an important responsibility as we know you will be an amazing support for our Year 1 children.
