Netball
Yesterday afternoon, our netballers played their second game against Good Shepherd in the Catholic League. Both teams tried incredibly hard and it’s great to see our children improving each time they play. Well done to Good Shepherd for the win!

Football
Yesterday afternoon, some of our Year 5 & 6 girls’ footballers played their first match in the Chris Rose Cup against Courthouse Green. Both teams played brilliantly, showing fantastic teamwork and determination. Although it was a shame to lose 4–3 in the final seconds, the girls are already looking forward to the Catholic League starting after half term. Well done girls! #romerothrives
It is lovely to hear about our children’s achievements outside of school! Samuel in Year 6 has been shining at Cubs. He has been awarded ‘Cub of the Year’ and has also won the silver award, which is the highest accolade for a cub – well done Samuel!

I’ve been absolutely amazed by the incredible poems written by Amelia and Benedict in Year 6. The children have written the most beautiful poems for a competition called ‘I have a Dream’. I will try and include the poems in next week’s newsletter for you to read as I’m sure you will be as impressed as I was – what superstars!

Meet our Year 6 Reading Buddies, who have been given the very important job of listening to some of our Year 1 children read each day. This is such an important responsibility as we know you will be an amazing support for our Year 1 children.
