Gentle Reminders

Parking Please do not drive into the school carpark on drop off or pick up. This is to ensure that all our children and families are safe while on site. Parking is available in Sacred Heart Church carpark. A reminder that there is no access to the Avenues for parking even on lines unmarked. Brays Lane is a permit holders only area – parking may result in your car being ticketed. NURSERY parents, please do not park on the yellow lines or in front of neighbour’s driveways. We do want to keep good relations with our local community.

Lateness Following the drift in between 8.40am and 8.50am all children should be in school. Any children arriving after 8.50am, will be marked late in the register. 8.50am is the legal start to the day and the register is taken at this time. We are going to be taking further steps to reduce lateness working with families who are not ensuring their child is in school by 8.50am.

Absences If we have not heard from a parent concerning a child who is absent by 9:10am, we will make a telephone call to ensure the child is safe. It is imperative that we know by telephone that a child is not expected to be in by 9:10am otherwise we will telephone. If we still cannot make contact, then our Attendance Officer Ms Feeney (Pastoral Team) will make a visit to the family home.

Breakfast On the first few days back, we are aware that there are some children who are coming to school without having breakfast. It really is important that the children have something to eat in the morning before they come to school in order to feel energised and ready to concentrate and learn. It is a long time to wait until lunchtime! If your child has missed breakfast, please do let us know as we can provide breakfast for all children, who need it.
