Last Friday, 8 children from our Eco team went to St Patrick’s for Romero’s 2nd Eco conference. They had a fantastic day taking part in several workshops. The workshops were all based around sustainability and included looking at the product lifetime of smartphones, recycling and Dr Green (who spoke to the children about how they can help save energy) In the afternoon, they spent time in St Patrick’s Forest school, where they took part in shelter building and learning how to stay safe outdoors. Each school was given a compost bin and an apple tree sapling to remind us of the importance of caring for God’s creation and the difference we can make.
