Year 3 and 4 Holy Week Reflection

On Tuesday evening, Year 3 and Year 4 gave us the most stunning performance as they reflected on the events of Holy Week. It truly was such a special show: the children sang their hearts out and did a magnificent job of guiding us reverently through Jesus’ final journey on Earth, from the joyful events of Palm Sunday through to Jesus’ death on the cross. There were so many different aspects to the performance, including readings, reflections, a Sacred Dance, acting and silhouettes and every single child performed their role brilliantly. I would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff involved in the performance: Mr Finn, Mrs Severs, Mrs Hanlon and Mrs Chitty who coordinated the show and prepared the Year 4 children; Mrs Chitty, for sewing the magnificent costumes; Miss Allport, Mrs O’Connor, Miss Gibson, Miss Ashford, Miss Preston and Miss Jini, who taught our Year 3 children all the songs and supported the event in the evening. So much work goes on behind the scenes and these staff all gave up so much of their own family time to ensure the performance was a success.

An enormous well-done to every single child in Year 3 and Year 4 – your families and teachers were extremely proud of you all!
