World Book Day

World Book Day

On Thursday 2nd March, we will be celebrating all things books! Our theme this year is ‘Books can change the world’. Children are invited to wear their pyjamas to school and listen to stories with special messages about how we can change the world. We will also be holding our popular ‘Bookie Breakfast’. Tickets for this event are £3 and MUST be bought in advance. Please send the money into school in a named envelope if you wish for your child to participate. As always, every child will receive a book token to spend on our World Book Day book. These are available to buy in bookshops and lots of local supermarkets.

Extreme reading competition: On World Book Day, we will launch our extreme reading competition. The challenge is to find the most unusual, adventurous, or funny place to read a book and take a photo of yourself reading! The winning entry from each year group will receive a small prize. Get reading everyone!
