World Book Day is fast approaching on the 7th March! This year we are going to play a big game of Guess Who! Children are invited to come to school, wearing a ‘clue’ to their favourite book character. This could be a big clue e.g. a whole costume, or it could be a tiny clue e.g a lightning scar if they’re Harry Potter. Children are encouraged to think creatively and make it a challenge for others to guess who their character is. We will then have as school game of ‘Guess Who’ to work out who each child is dressed as.
Our famous Bookie Breakfast is back. If you would like your child to attend, please send £3.50 into the school office in a named envelope.
To celebrate the wonderful world of books, we are inviting children to enter our Art Gallery Competition. Children are invited to create a piece of artwork at home to represent their favourite book. This could be using crayons, paint, oil pastels, tissue paper etc – they have the freedom to get creative! Entries should be no bigger than A3. We will create a display of the entries so that everyone can see the children’s wonderful work and there will be a prize for the winning entry from each year group. Art work should be brought into school by Friday 15th March.
