During Lent, we will be raising money for our Lent charities by holding a cake sale each week on a Tuesday break time. Each week, we will ask 2 year groups to bring in cakes to sell. All the children are invited to bring money in each Tuesday to purchase a cake.
All money raised will go to charity.
A huge thank you to everyone, who donated cakes for last week’s sale – it was extremely popular and we raised an impressive £146 for charity.
Next week, will be Year 4 and Year 2’s opportunity to bring cakes into school.
The children and staff of Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School in Coventry, are taking part in the Big Lent Walk again this year. As a school community, we are collectively aiming to walk a total of 1000km to raise money for CAFOD.
Every child and member of staff will take part in this challenge during school time in the week beginning Monday 18th March. We will be walking around the school grounds and local area.
In addition to this, staff will also be clocking up extra kilometres over the weekend prior to this (Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th March) to help reach our target of 1000km. We are inviting all children, families and parishioners of Sacred Heart to do the same! We would love for you all to get involved in this challenge with us and help us reach our target of 1000 km!
Your donations can change lives. Every £1 raised through the Big Lent Walk will help fight poverty globally in countries like Afghanistan, Colombia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and South Sudan.
We would be extremely grateful if you could sponsor us to help us achieve our goal of £500.
